09h00 Departure for the Minervois

10h00 Visit of a famous vineyard of the Minervois followed by winetasting. Here the picking selection and fermentation processes are truly "traditional" and typical of the Minervois region.


12h30 Restaurant Meal! in Wine Cave

14h00 Second visit of a one of the most famous vineyards of the Cabardes followed by wine tasting and lunch. This magnificent chateau, also called the 'Petit Versailles du Sud' is located at a short drive from Carcassonne. The vineyards grow on the sunny, rocky slopes of the Montagne Noire from where the view of the Pyrenees to the South, the Massif Central to the North and the Medieval City of Carcassonne are breathtaking.

"Les Chais du Chateau" offers more than 30 great Languedoc wines from their estates, to be tasted by the glass or with dinner at the same price as in the wine shop.

16h00 Third visit of a well known vineyard in the region of Malepere. A family property that was re-established by the younger generation in 1995, the Domain has the advantage of having several different facets. The dry hillsides of sandstone & the summits of chalk/clay soil accommodate a great range of grape varieties that are able to develop their full potential. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc & Grenache are used in the production of the Cotes de Malepere wines, both red & rose. The Chardonnay, Viognier & Muscat Petit Grain enhance a full flavoured range of single grape wines. The vineyard consists of approximately 30 hectares & the wines are produced in the ancestral cellar of the domain. A new wine store enables the wine production to continue up to the bottling stage, which is, of course, also carried out on the domain!

Regularly rewarded in wine competitions, & in wine publications & guides. Awarded a Gold Medal in the Paris Agricole Competition – Paris 2000. Another of our wines for you to discover is La Cuvee Blanche (white) : a Chardonnay, aged in oak, that can be found on the wine list of the gastronomic restaurant, Jules VERNE, in the Eiffel Tower.
